On the morning of September 25th local time, the 41st International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) World Conference opened in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The theme of the conference is "Demographics, Entrepreneurship and Technology: Frontiers Defining the Future Economy", and it includes activities such as the opening ceremony, parallel forums, exhibitions, scientific and technological visits, and cultural visits. More than 700 representatives of science and technology parks, incubators, sci-tech innovation enterprises as well as experts and scholars from over 50 countries gathered together. Beijing is the host city of the 42nd IASP World Conference next year. The Beijing delegation, composed of government, park and enterprise representatives, participated in the conference. IASP, founded in 1984, has 350 science park members and 115,000 park-based enterprises. Its members are from 77 countries, and it is currently the only association in the world with science and technology parks as its main members. At the opening ceremony, IASP CEO Ebba Lund unveiled the IASP Top 10 Outstanding Cases of Innovative Solutions. ATLATL Service Platform, a biomedical industry incubation platform in Zhongguancun Changping Park, was selected. As a benchmark incubator in Beijing, ATLATL focuses on key and emerging R&D and innovation projects in the field of biomedical health, and designs and builds international top-level R&D experimental spaces to promote biomedical innovation acceleration. It has cumulatively served more than 30 biomedical innovation projects and enterprises, with total enterprise financing amounting to nearly 2 billion RMB and more than 200 intellectual property rights acquired by enterprises.
