Pony.ai, a company in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), and Sinotrans have renewed their joint venture agreement with Cyantron Logistics. The two companies will further promote the commercial deployment of large-scale self-driving trucks.
In their collaboration over the past three years, Pony.ai and Sinotrans have jointly propelled the deployment of self-driving trucks towards small-scale commercialization.
Under their new agreement, they will work together to support Cyantron Logistics in increasing its investment in technology research and development as well as operations, continuously expanding its controllable operational capacity.
As an AD-TaaS platform jointly created by Pony.ai and Sinotrans, Cyantron Logistics, a provider of intelligent, efficient, safe, and green logistics highway transportation network services, will further develop an integrated operational management model, establish an efficient operational resource network, build China's largest self-driving truck fleet, embrace the trend towards new energy, and gradually increase the proportion of new energy vehicles within the truck fleet.
Since its establishment and operation in early 2022, Cyantron Logistics has maintained the largest self-driving truck fleet and the longest self-driving commercial operation route in the country. By the end of 2024, Pony.ai and Cyantron Logistics had handled a total freight turnover of over 8.6 billion ton-kilometers, with an accumulated self-driving operational mileage of over 5 million kilometers.
