Recently, the 2026 Innovation Conference on Application Achievements of New-Quality Productive Forces, a parallel forum of the 28th China Beijing International High-tech Expo, was successfully held. Taking the expo as a communication platform, enterprises based in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA, also known as Beijing E-Town), including Beijing Galactic Energy and IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., released and shared their latest achievements and explorations in cutting-edge technological fields, fully presenting the E-Town practice of accelerating the cultivation and expansion of new quality productive forces.

The conference aims to gather academicians, experts, industry leaders and investment institutions to promote dialogues on frontier technologies, cross-border transformation of outstanding achievements, and precise docking of industrial chain resources, injecting strong impetus into Beijing's development as an international science and technology innovation center. At the event, academicians of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, including Shi Yong, Sheng Shengjie, Ling Peixue, and Zhao Xinli, shared landmark achievements in frontier fields and analyzed future development trends, creating a high-level ideological feast. Meanwhile, multiple enterprises released a batch of core technological achievements covering key sectors of new quality productive forces such as artificial intelligence, robots, and commercial aerospace, demonstrating the solid strength and innovative vitality of sci-tech enterprises in the capital city.

Xia Dongkun, Executive President of Galactic Energy, analyzed the broad prospects of the space economy with a focus on challenges and development opportunities facing commercial launch vehicles, and discussed the development path of commercial aerospace based on the company's practical experience. He officially unveiled Pallas-2, a large reusable launch vehicle currently under research and development by the enterprise. As a reusable launch vehicle with the largest payload capacity among privately developed models in China, Pallas-2 is tailored for large-scale internet satellite constellation networking missions and available in two configurations: the basic version and the CBC version. The basic version has a takeoff mass of approximately 781 tons, a takeoff thrust of about 910 tons, and a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) payload capacity of 20 tons. The CBC configuration boasts a takeoff mass of around 1,950 tons, a takeoff thrust of 2,730 tons, and an LEO payload capacity of 58 tons. Its technological innovations are reflected in multiple aspects, such as the CQ-90 liquid oxygen/kerosene engine, the cryogenic upper stage adopting an expander-cycle liquid oxygen methane engine, and the sea recovery solution with manipulator mid-position clamping.

"We plan to conduct the maiden launch of Pallas-2 early next year and verify the whole-process sea recovery technologies simultaneously," said Xia Dongkun. "In the future, the Pallas-2 launch vehicle will meet the launch demands of large-mass payloads and deep space exploration missions in near-Earth, Earth-Moon, and Earth-Mars orbits. We aim to further reduce launch costs through technological innovation and provide strong support for China to seize opportunities in the space economy."

Wei Xinzhu, Vice President of IAT Automobile Technology, delivered a speech themed Empowering Artificial Intelligence and Robot Innovation Practice through Automobile R&D. He introduced the company's business layout oriented to the future demands of the global automobile market, interpreted the profound changes brought by artificial intelligence to automobile design and R&D, and shared technological achievements in the field of AI-enabled automobile design and R&D such as the AI creative painting tool Taiyi. Wei Xinzhu held that both the hardware ontology and the algorithm system of embodied intelligent robots require extensive training and polishing in real application scenarios to achieve gradual maturity. IAT's accumulated engineering and mass production experience in the automotive industry can provide mature support in supply chain and manufacturing systems for the large-scale implementation and application of embodied intelligent robots.

In addition, during the roundtable dialogue themed Regional Collaborative Innovation and Industrial Globalization, person-in-charges of local enterprises, including ESWIN Computing and Accompany (Beijing) Robot Co., Ltd., shared their experience and insights in building regional collaborative innovation networks and promoting industrial globalization.
