On June 2, the RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) Beijing Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") was officially opened in Zhongguancun (Chaoyang) AI Space Industrial Park in Beijing's Chaoyang District. Backed by RCAP's international competition framework, unified technical specifications and global expert network, this Center based in Beijing is expected to serve as a gateway to the world, striving to become an international public service platform for the smart robotics and embodied intelligence sectors while functioning as China's primary channel bridging the gap between the country's robotics industry and the developers and markets around the world.

As one of the hosts of the 2026 World Robot Games, RCAP is a highly influential international robotics competition and cooperation platform. As RCAP's first regional hub worldwide, the Center is expected to play a vital role in linking global developers and markets with the industry chains and real-world application scenarios of China's robotics industry.

Moving forward, the capital city will partner with RCAP to bring together global resources, roll out a full slate of events including branded tournaments, achievement launches and public science outreach events, and carry out trials of technologies. This partnership is anticipated to accelerate the evolution of robotic technologies from the technologies for showcases in competition arenas to the tools utilized in real-world settings of urban governance, advanced manufacturing, public services, cultural, tourism and consumption sectors, and more.
