The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA), also known as Beijing E-Town, will bring together companies from its technology and advanced manufacturing sectors to exhibit at Cairo ICT 2026, seeking to expand business opportunities in the Middle East and Africa and strengthen commercial links between Chinese and Egyptian industries.

The initiative is part of Beijing E-Town's efforts to support companies in expanding overseas markets through its internationalization strategy. By using major international trade exhibitions as a platform, Beijing E-Town aims to connect local technology companies with potential buyers, business partners, and investors, while raising the profile of products and solutions developed in Beijing E-Town.

The 30th edition of Cairo ICT will take place from November 7 to 10 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo, under the theme "AI in Action". Supported by the Egyptian Cabinet and its Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the event is one of the largest ICT exhibitions in the Middle East and Africa. A dedicated cybersecurity conference will also be held alongside the exhibition.

The exhibition will cover 5G communications, cloud computing and computing infrastructure, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, data centers, smart cities, and security and surveillance technologies. These sectors align closely with Egypt's demand for digital infrastructure, including 5G networks, smart city development and digital government services, as well as opportunities arising from the country's Digital Egypt strategy, the development of its New Administrative Capital and the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

The previous edition attracted more than 500 exhibiting brands and 160,000 professional visitors, over 80% of whom were procurement decision-makers or project managers.

For this year's exhibition, Beijing E-Town is organizing a shared pavilion under its inclusive overseas market access model. Five companies will attend in person: GalaxySpace, Cogent, PeopleAI, Huakai Aili and the Beijing Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics. Their exhibits will cover key areas including commercial satellite internet, satellite communications, artificial intelligence, intelligent interaction and embodied intelligence.

Products from other companies in Beijing E-Town will also be displayed through the pavilion, allowing them to participate without sending representatives to the exhibition. These companies include LLVision, Robo Space, Novtium, Beijing Yiyan Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing NAURA Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. Their products span smart glasses, educational and service robots, and new energy storage solutions.

Preparations and business matchmaking

Ahead of the exhibition, Beijing E-Town has begun coordinating resources and identifying potential business partners. Based on the participating companies' technology sectors, it has compiled lists of prospective buyers, system integrators and distributors in North Africa, while identifying Egyptian companies interested in cooperation with Chinese businesses. These leads are being consolidated into a business development pipeline.

Beijing E-Town is also working with the Egyptian Embassy in China and other international business service organizations to identify and connect with potential partners before the event.

Business engagement during the exhibition

During Cairo ICT 2026, Beijing E-Town plans to arrange one-to-one meetings through the exhibition organizer's professional buyer matchmaking program, connecting participating companies with government and corporate buyers and local system integrators from North Africa.

Companies will also be encouraged to take part in parallel forums and exchange technical insights in areas such as satellite communications, artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence. A dedicated business meeting will bring together relevant participants to discuss industrial cooperation and market access.

Beijing E-Town also plans to engage with senior representatives of Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the exhibition organizer, with the aim of creating further opportunities for high-level business and institutional exchanges.

Invitation to regional partners

Beijing E-Town welcomes telecommunications operators, government procurement agencies, system integrators, regional distributors, channel partners, industrial park investors and business associations from Egypt and across North Africa to visit its shared pavilion.

The exhibition will provide an opportunity to explore advanced digital technologies and integrated solutions from companies in Beijing E-Town, and to identify potential partnerships in digital infrastructure, smart cities and artificial intelligence across the Middle East and Africa.

Through closer engagement between companies and institutions in both markets, Beijing E-Town aims to build more direct channels for two-way industrial cooperation and support deeper integration between Chinese and Egyptian businesses.
