As a core field for unraveling the mysteries of human cognition and overcoming neurological diseases, brain science has deeply intersected and integrated with optical technologies featuring high spatiotemporal resolution and low invasiveness. This integration has spawned disruptive breakthroughs such as multimodal brain imaging and optical brain-computer interfaces, demonstrating broad application prospects in major disease diagnosis and treatment, brain-inspired intelligence, and other areas. Currently, global brain science research has entered a large-scale critical stage, with an urgent demand for breaking technical bottlenecks and promoting collaboration among industry, academia, research, and application. Based on the national strategic deployment of cutting-edge technology fields in the "14th Five-Year Plan", this conference is specially held to build a high-level exchange platform, gather global top wisdom, and facilitate the high-quality development of the field.

The Chinese Society for Optical Engineering (CSOE) will host the "2nd International Conference on Brain Science and Photonics" in Tianjin from March 27 to 29, 2026. This conference will bring together top experts and scholars in the global fields of brain science and optics, construct a platform for in-depth exchange among industry, academia, research, and application, focus on the frontier trends of the field, explore new paths for technological development, depict a new blueprint for industrial collaboration, promote innovative breakthroughs in core technologies and efficient transformation of scientific research achievements, and assist the high-quality development of the interdisciplinary field of brain science and optics.
