IASP is the world's largest international association of science parks, with more than 300 members from 78 countries, representing 115,000 high-tech companies worldwide. IASP has a special office in Beijing, which is the only IASP office other than the Spanish headquarters. We hope to support Beijing to become an international scientific and technological innovation center through our global network and years of experiencein international cooperation.
For the next step, we hope that both sides can participate in more international events, such as the IASP World Conference, the IASP regional seminar and the ZGC Forum held in Beijing, to establish more new international cooperation, so that experts in Beijing can get to know their counterparts in science parks around the world.

Since 2013, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park has been our important partners in scientific and technological innovation. We jointly organized the China-Italy Innovation Cooperation Week, which facilitated the signing of more than 140 new cooperation and partnership agreements between Italian and Chinese research institutions, universities and innovative enterprises.
Today, we are facing unprecedented challenges, such as climate change or health emergencies, that make science & technology vital to social development and ncourage the transnational results sharing and collaboration of researchers and innovators. To successfully address these challenges, Beijing is strengthening R&D and innovation to develop new technological solutions in specific fields, which will strongly support the scientific and technological cooperation between the two governments for mutual benefit.

Since last year, we have cooperated with each other to hold start-up competition, namely ZGC Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition and SLINGSHOT (Entrepreneurship Competition) in Singapore. Both sides recommend the top start-up companies that stand out from their competition to participate in each other's competition and provide opportunities for start-ups to connect with international investors and partners through platforms such as Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH).
