Twin-tailed Scorpion-A, Wing Loong-3... many self-developed advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were unveiled at the Zhuhai Airshow in November 2022.

In the past decade, China's UAVs have developed rapidly, supported by national industrial policies.. Data showed that the market size of China's civil UAVs had leapt from 15.6 billion yuan ($2.22 billion) in 2015 to 86.9 billion yuan ($12.37 billion) in 2021. With the development of obstacle avoidance and aerial photogrammetry technology, China's UAVs have shown great ability in the fields of national defense, aerial photography, plant protection, emergency communications, UAV logistics and so on.

Chinese UAVs are favored by users all over the world. In recent years, China has rapidly developed into a manufacturing and technological powerhouse in the UAV market, with sales accounting for 70% of the world's total. The "Wing Loong" and "Rainbow" series of high-end military drones have been exported in huge volume.

Aerospace equipment was listed as one of the ten key areas for development in the "Made in China 2025" plan issued by the State Council. In the future, there will still be huge demand of UAVs in the industrial and consumer market. Empowered by high-tech, the smart-manufacturing UAVs will be applied in more fields, benefiting China and the world.
